Work. Rheumatism Association President Anne Carlsson has been set aside by the Federal Meeting. Several districts had called for her resignation since it emerged that she indulged victimization, ostracism and harassment against employees on the union’s office.
Rheumatism League Secretary General Leif Salmonsson told TT that the last fall received signals from the working environment representative of the existence of unacceptable behavior at the office where 30 people work. An independent investigation was launched, and it confirmed the information.
– It clearly pointed toward our President Anne Carlsson, says Leif Salmonsson.
Anne Carlsson aside with immediate effect, a year before her regular term of office.
Leif Salmonsson says dismissal of Anne Carlsson signals that these issues must be taken seriously in the union.
– We will have zero tolerance for utfrysningar, bullying and harassment.
It is not yet clear who takes over as chairman of the Swedish Rheumatism Association.
Anne Carlsson became the union’s president in 2007 and has previously been criticized because she lived free in one of the union’s apartments without paying benefit tax.
TT has not managed to reach Anne Carlsson for comment.
