– It is a rather difficult weather in the mountains with strong winds, drifting snow and reduced visibility. There is a deep low pressure with winds over the west coast of Norway which has now reached the Swedish mountains. It will blow up more and more during the afternoon and the climax is reached in the evening. At midnight it begins to subside when the low pressure moves further towards the north of Finland, says Marcus Sjöstedt, on duty meteorologist at SMHI, said.
Svealand and Götaland fare from the worst winds. But Gotland can get it awkward with very strong winds and there is a class 1 warning issued.
