(Updated) The prosecutor put down the preliminary investigation. The HT in Karlskrona is no longer suspected of misconduct against the principal of the Yara case.

The school director Maria Persson was reasonably suspected of misconduct after the decision to close the customs headmaster at the press conference on 12 May 2014 being associated with investigation around the eight-year-old girl Yara’s death. She told the cameras that the headmaster was the person in charge and that he would therefore be turned off.

Within Lärarförbundet reactions were outraged by the rector was appointed scapegoat and was suspended from work. The headmaster took very sorry, and was badly injured in a self-inflicted car accident.

In December 2014 began deputy chief prosecutor Ulrika Grenerfors investigation after a police complaint received from a private individual, writes the Blekinge County Newspaper:

– It feels good that the prosecutor has now decided to close the investigation, said Mayor Patrik Hansson (S) in a press release, the newspaper said.

– There are very many who have been touched by this tragic event. There are many aspects to consider and many different opinions. The prosecutor has now decided on the issue of misconduct and now we wait for the other investigations going on, he said.

Patrik Hansson aims, among other things, on the notification headmaster’s wife and Teachers’ Union made to the Swedish Work Environment Authority against the municipality, for safety violations through bodily harm, causing danger to another, defamation and failure to notify injury. The investigation, which is managed by the National Unit for the environment and working environment, is still ongoing, writes Teacher Magazine.
