Tonight is Vaxjo against his old star forward Ryan Lasch who made seven points in their four games in Frölunda.
– There will be fun. It’s always a little “Meet the Parents”. We have had Strömwall and Åslin who changed teams during the season and now we meet the “Lascher” and it’s great that he played so well and had a strong season in Finland. It will be fun to see him but I hope we will do a good job shutting down the ice for him, says Växjö coach Sam Hallam.
Lasch scored 20 goals for Växjö last season in the regular season and was the team’s top scorer. P4 Kronoberg hockey experts are not sure if it was right to drop Lasch.
– What to say .. He’s a really good player. A real scorer. But the problem was that they needed a player who was more round and had little larger body. So I’m not sure, says Mike Zanier.
– I think Tuomas Kiiskinen fits better in Växjö Lakers this year. They are two different types of players. Lasch is more aggressive and Kiiskinen more round, says Mike Zanier.
