The three-day negotiations of the sex crimes accused priest from Uppsala ended at Svea Court of Appeal on Thursday. The priest, who previously sentenced to 2.5 years in prison by the Uppsala District Court for the rape of a 14-year-old confirmation, had appealed to the Court of Appeal. The priest thought that he would not be convicted of child rape, but for sexual exploitation of children and that the prison sentence would be shortened significantly or dropped altogether. The priest believes that confirmand been featured on the sexual activities that occurred.

Even confirmand had appealed and demanded harsher punishment for the priest. Confirmand believe that the priest sexually assaulting a young person who does not have control over their sexual residency and that a pedophile orientation has been behind the abuses.

Priest and confirmand came in contact with each other during a confirmation course that the priest led. Confirmand invited home to the pastor where most of the abuse took place. Others were made in a cellar, in a parish on konfirmandens office and a school.

decided today Svea Court of Appeal that the man was released on bail until the judgment is handed down on Thursday, March 5.
