The man in her 70s was loud and upset already inside at Systembolaget on Main Street in Angelholm. He spoke disparagingly of beggars and said that one should keep something over them.
And that was what he did.
When he left the store he walked up behind the woman who sat and begged, and poured the liquid all over her.
– She said “He poured vodka on me.” I do not know what liquid it was, I felt no smell, it was outdoors, says Patrik Pettersson, who witnessed the incident at 13 o’clock on Thursday.
He had heard the man be noisy inside at Systembolaget. Now he stood seven, eight feet from the entrance when the man came out.
– His purpose was clearly to humiliate the woman, says Patrik Pettersson.
The man disappeared rapidly from the scene and Patrik Pettersson walked up to the woman.
– She sat still for five seconds and looked at himself and his wet clothes, eyes filled with tears, she stood up and began to weep uncontrollably.
Patrik Pettersson stayed a moment to support the woman.
– I myself was shocked and upset. There, she sits down, defenseless, and then he pours from behind and slightly above her. So do not be against another human being.
The interpreter to help EU migrants in Angelholm soon had contact with the infected woman. He says that they went to the police station, but they were met by the news that the police had training.
Now they make a police report on Friday morning instead.
Thord Kristiansson also quickly became contacted. He was chairman of the Solidary Människohjälp Engelholm who work with and for EU migrants in Ängelholm.
– This is far out of line, he says of the event.
The police could not comment on Thursday evening.
