A woman was seriously injured when a car ran into a bus shelter in Farsta in southern Stockholm on Thursday night.
A police patrol noticed the foreign-registered passenger car for the driving recklessly and decided to follow and control the vehicle. When the patrol came in contact with the car again had already managed to collide with the bus shelter.
It struck the woman out with ambulance to the Karolinska and her injuries are described as serious.
The car driver was unhurt, but suspected of grievous bodily harm, aggravated reckless driving and drunk driving.
The police have interrogated several people who witnessed the accident.
