LO saw C’s new job reform – Aftonbladet

Policies. the Centre Party wants to invest twelve billion on making it cheaper to hire low-skilled young and new arrivals.

– There will be hugely expensive and gives nothing, says LO’s chairman Karl-Petter Thorwaldsson.

the Centre new tricks to get more educated in the work means that employers will be abolished on salaries up to 16 000 during the first two years. The decrease, according to the Center leader Annie Lööf, employer costs by 25 percent.

– This is not about any patching and mending. It is a comprehensive reform, she said.

The reduction in employer applies to all groups, but is expected to lead to 45,000 jobs, particularly for low-skilled.

– We have to get companies to desire and courage to hire people who do not have a resume, says Loof.

expensive

the reform will replace the Centre previous profile proposals for reduced employer contributions for all young people under 25, which costs about 13 billion. The proposal has been criticized for being too expensive, because the payroll tax also abolished for young people who already have jobs. Annie Lööf describes the new proposal to be more focused.

– This is obviously good for many newly arrived refugees, said the Fiscal Council former President John Hassler.

He points out, however, that it is difficult to say exactly how many jobs it can provide. Hassler also believes that the proposal is unnecessarily expensive, since it includes all groups in the labor market.

– For young people with completed secondary education, it is not that hard to get a job today, he says .

LO saws

LO chairman Karl-Petter Thorwaldsson saw the Centre’s new proposal.

– There will be huge expensive and gives nothing, he said.

Thorwaldsson think that C uses the same “fancy math” as they did with the old proposal for the general abolition of employer contributions for young people. LO President considers that the Centre smear out large sums to groups that may be employed in any case.

HH: But what is LO’s best proposals to provide low-skilled and newly arrived jobs ?

– There’s only one thing to do. To educate them and match them with the jobs, says Thorwaldsson.

More simple services

Enterprises CEO Günther Marder think the Centre proposal” to some extent “can help unskilled newcomers to get jobs.

– With the big challenge is that they must be able to deliver something that is in demand, and when it is about very basic services, he said.

Mårder think that the root and rutavdragen is good, but calls for more comprehensive reforms so that more services that households demand will be cheaper.

the Centre has proposal to raise the ceiling for the RUT deduction and for more services to be covered. Party leader also remains the need for lower starting salaries.

Input Jobs

the party has a proposal for a new form of employment, entry positions. Loof want social partners to agree on such employment. If it does not get the C is prepared to legislate such employment, but Loof want today does not threaten it.

Lars Calmfors, Professor of Economics, does not believe that the social partners able to negotiate agreements that open for easier job with a lower salary levels than the existing agreements.

– It is difficult in the short term, what could reduce resistance in LO, says Calmfors of the Center economic seminar.
