Strengthened cooperation between the Security Service and Europol – Laholms newspaper

In order to strengthen international efforts against terrorism has Sapo placed a liaison officer in The Hague of the EU police organization Europol, reported Swedish Radio Echo.

This is the first time that the secret police have a liaison in place in the Hague.

The new cooperation will first and foremost be about the exchange of knowledge and information as Fredrika Milder.

– we in Sweden have knowledge of actors and environments in Sweden and we hope that Europol cooperation can broaden our knowledge. Counter Terror is a high priority for all security services in Europe and also for all the police authorities, says Frederica Milder to Swedish Radio.

She also points out that the police previously had, and still has, a liaison on location at Europol.
