Man stabbed – severely damaged – Göteborgs-Posten

Sweden A 56-year old man has been knifed outdoors in Alvesta.

The police were alerted to the scene at 21:22 on Wednesday night. The man to be seriously injured and has been transferred by ambulance to the hospital. Two people have been seen running from the scene. Several patrols are engaged in the hunt for the perpetrators, including a dog patrol.

The place is sealed off for forensic examination, and police are trying right now to collect testimony. Knocking on doors are carried out in the building next to the crime scene. Police are also in place at the hospital in Växjö to, if possible, interrogate the man.

– We do not know much more at this stage. Hopefully clears it when we can talk to people nearby, and especially when we talked to the injured man, said Stephan Söderholm, when police in Kronoberg.

The injured man, according to police, lost his wallet in connection with the attack.
