Sweden 50 firemen fighting a large wildfire outside Eksjö. On Friday night, it is still not under control.
According P4 Jönköping is an area of around 20 hectares, about five kilometers north of Hult, who is passionate about. Emergency services have been fighting the fire throughout the afternoon.
During the evening, the fire is still not fully under control.
– We have almost circled the fire, there is a small area, we still do not control, said Jon gray wagtail, team leader at the emergency services to the GC.
Fire Aerospace has participated in the fighting and the defense have sent a helicopter that has water bombed the fire.
– Now we are no visible flames but it glows far down in the ground, said Jon gray wagtail.
Emergency services cut down the operation during the night and will continue at dawn on Saturday morning.
– in the dark it is too dangerous to work in woods so we need to cut down on the ambition for a few hours, says Jon gray wagtail.
According gray wagtail is a risk that the fire will flare up again on Saturday.
some people in a few cottages have been evacuated but otherwise there are no reports of casualties.
