The British unemployment fell to the lowest level since 2005 in the quarter ended in May, according to the British Bureau of Statistics ons.

The unemployment rate fell to 4 , 9 percent, the lowest level since October 2005.

in the April quarter, the British unemployment rate of 5 percent and analysts had on average expected an unchanged level in May-quarter.
