No convicted of attempted murder of the mill – Aftonbladet

Crime. the prosecutor had asked for at least eight years in prison for attempted murder. The Court did not agree: one of the accused is acquitted completely, the other sentenced to three years in prison for aggravated assault.

A 32 year-old man with a background in the Nazi party of the Swedes was sentenced Friday to three years in prison for two counts of aggravated assault in connection altercation at Möllevången in Malmö in 2014. A 29-year-old, who was indicted for attempted murder at Malmo FF profile Showan Shattak, freed contrast completely. The judgment can be said to be a major setback for the prosecution that claimed eight years in prison for the two defendants.

– It has been given different tasks and many of the data has come late in the investigation, says deputy chief prosecutor Jenny Lindell.

– Of course it’s very unfortunate, says his counsel Jesper Montan said.

– But while the fact is that no amount of money can compensate for the suffering he has gone through.

Both can appeal

32-year-old defense attorney Theodore Nordenadler says TT that judgment is interesting. He does not want to make any further comment, saying that the decision on a possible appeal will be notified via the media.

Deputy chief prosecutor Jenny Lindell, who is not driven target, can not comment on the verdict will be appealed, but notes that it is not impossible.

the night of March 9, 2014 broke out brawl between two groups on Kristianstadsgatan in central Malmö. Several people were seriously injured after being cut with a knife, among these the MFF profile Showan Shattak.

Prosecutors Sofia Eilertsson Olsson had claimed at least eight years in prison for each man. Now it was only three years for two counts of aggravated assault of 32-year-old, while 29-year-old was acquitted of all charges.
