The man was taken into custody under the Act on the disposal of drunk people (LOB), reports P4 Västernorrland.
During the night discovered the guards at the police station in Sundsvall that the man was lifeless.
-Both security personnel and police officers tried CPR but the man was pronounced dead at Sundsvall Hospital during the night, says Börje Öhman, Head of Communications at the police station in Västernorrland.
Prosecutors will now consider whether to commence an investigation.
