Large rescue operation for migrants – Aftonbladet

Migrant Ship. Italian Coast Guard is in the process of a rescue operation for about a thousand migrants. This is according to Italian media about twelve boats with migrants who are heading towards the island of Lampedusa in the Mediterranean.

The boats are believed to have put out from the Libyan coast. When the term was last Saturday and the operation was begun in was felt to six drifting boats, with about 600 people on board.

On Sunday, at least two boats, with a total of 150 migrants on board, reached the country, writes news agency AGI.
