The pictures were taken during a study carried out in 2009 and has now been widely adopted in social media. One of the pictures shows Ebba Busch Thor beside an armored vehicle and she even makes a sign with his hand that could be interpreted as “thumbs up”.
– I can honestly not answer if I do thumbs up or if I hold in my blazer or if I just hold your hand there. But there was no deeper message regarding my hand movement, no matter what kind of hand movement, says Ebba Busch Thor to the Daily News.
Even KDU’s current General Secretary Sara Skyttedal was along for the ride and sit amongst others in militärfordonetoch sieves with a machine gun on one of the pictures.
– I can understand that some perceive it as controversial in light of the political charge remaining in the Middle East conflict but there is no deeper message in this, says Ebba Busch Thor.
Both Ebba Busch Thor and Christian Democrats have a pro-Israeli stance.
– I stand up for Israel’s right to defend itself and its people but also firmly believe that the road to peace goes through a two-state solution and that the parties meet at the negotiating table, says Ebba Busch Thor DN.
