Young in Stockholm drinking less alcohol, according to the Stockholm survey. In grade nine refrains six in ten boys and just over five out of ten girls alcohol. In the upper secondary school year two, the percentage of 30 per cent among boys and 26 among girls. These figures are significantly higher than in the surveys in 2010 and 2012.
“Sobriety among young reach historically high levels,” says Kaisa Snidare, coordinator of drug prevention, the provincial government said in a statement.
The survey is conducted every other year in grades nine and two upper secondary grades. This year the questionnaire was answered by more than 19,000 students in 16 of the 26 municipalities in Stockholm County.
