Left Party Jonas Sjöstedt and Ulla Andersson was almost in tears of movement when S, MP and V yesterday unveiled its settlement of gains in welfare. Gustav Fridolin spoke with customary högstämdhet about individual children’s needs. And Stefan Löfven explained that citizens not consumers.

In short, the agreement on the profits to be reinvested in the operations and businesses in the welfare sector may not have a stated aim to distribute profits to owners. A restrained drawing representing some sort of savings account interest on invested capital may go up, but that is all. And not only that: the freedom of establishment to be removed. Local authorities should be able to refuse business to start home care companies, health care centers and private schools. For remember, we are citizens, not consumers.

Sjöstedts joy is in itself partly a grandstanding. Most of it should be investigated until March 2016 after which the bills will be. Only then can they coveted profit constraints possibly get rid of. How the political landscape which looks like no one knows. Perhaps public opinion has become aware of the plethora of well-maintained schools and health centers will be forced to close. Maybe the politicians who want to be re-elected to realize the risk of smothering activities citizens appreciate.

But still, it is this understanding that will spearhead the coalition parties politics in the coming years. The Left Party’s image of reality has penetrated all shades.

There is no evidence to the private sector deliver worse service than the publicly run. If any user surveys pointing to the contrary. But the Left allow themselves to not be disturbed by the extraneous reality. When it is discovered that municipal homes for the elderly, or council-driven care deficiencies in the quality, then you will not hear a peep. Then no form of ownership problem. Just about misconduct, negligence or bad organization found in the private sector, considered the link between ownership and quality proven.

Jonas Sjöstedt is completely blinded by the belief that where there is a profit motive, there is no other. Care for students, teachers, patients and health professionals can not be combined with economic interests. Therefore, it would concern Sjöstedt little to not only large corporations but also small, well-kept and popular companies dressed straitjacket. Basically, they are driven by the same evil force. It is called “profit motive”, or even better, “capitalism.”

The part of the deal that the Social Democrats are likely to be most satisfied with the terms of the removal of leaves and the right of establishment. The party has learned to live with the gains, but harbors a deep aversion to municipal and county politicians have no right to decide who is allowed to open a school or a health center.

The confidence in the competence of the municipal buildings around the country are indeed high. Politicians, and only they, are considered to determine whether citizens may be served by a new school or more home care providers. And now the Municipality of politicians omnipotence over every citizen to turn in order to get healthcare and education be restored. Earnings Questions pushed a bit forward but the rules of establishment and freedom changed almost immediately.

The tragicomic in here is that Stefan Löfven pretended that he should be able to count on support from the other side of the block boundary. “Everyone” wants to basically have the “orderliness” of welfare, he said at the press conference.

It is with reality. Löfven had been able to Friskolekommittén school issues, for example, to solve the problems of poor transparency and venture capital companies registered in tax havens. Instead, he lets Jonas Sjöstedt diagnose and prescribe treatment left deep red for the whole welfare sector.

The prospect of support from the bourgeois parties is zero. For there will be an agreement of this nature further reduces their willingness to cooperate in other areas. If Stefan Löfven is serious that he wants to lead a collaborative government was yesterday’s announcement worst possible start.
