Among the young people who drop out of secondary school had a 28 percent job or studied five years later, according to a report from the National Agency for Education. Among young people with high school diploma is 75 percent.
“Our report clearly shows how important it is for young people succeed in secondary school to get a job or to study further. Schools can do much to motivate students to pursue their studies, “comments the Agency’s Director General Helen Ängmo.
the Agency’s report shows that over a quarter of those who dropped out of high school in grade 1 or 2 were neither working nor studying five years later. Another 32 percent had temporary jobs, while 15 percent studied in adult education or college. Only three percent read at college.
