Bjorklund: "Energy policy starts with a meltdown" – Swedish radio

Jan Björklund is highly critical of the red-green deal on nuclear power. “The red-green energy policy begins with a meltdown.” Said Liberal leader.

Liberal Party leader is critical to the agreement between the Social Democrats and the Green Party of nuclear power.

– I do not perceive that they agree, they give totally different messages. The red-green energy policies begin m ed a meltdown. Asa Romson says that this means that fast reactors will be phased out, and this is belied by Stefan Löfven. So now they must first be clear what does this energy policy they have presented today, says Jan Björklund.

Stefan Löfven says he wants to bring partisan conversation, what do you say about that?

– We welcome this, but then we also have to talk about important issues. It can not be that Asa Romson in advance have decided what an agreement should end in. There must be an open resonant tone and where we also need to discuss the future of nuclear power and where we from our side believes that the old nuclear power plants should be replaced by new, it will be necessary both for the climate and for their jobs

How do you put you in the nuclear talks that already have these inputs , with higher fees and taxes?

– I assume that these are issues we must discuss in the talks, because if everything is decided in advance, then there is nothing to talk about. And it would be a very unfortunate way for this new weak government to start their cooperation in parliament.
