Swedish medical personnel to be sent to areas in West Africa affected by Ebola.

– More medical personnel needed on site and Sweden can do more. Therefore, we have today taken several decisions to expeditiously facilitate the Swedish medical personnel to be on site, says Gabriel Wikström, public health and health care minister.
Stefan Löfven gathered his new government to the first regular meeting today, and in case the list was Ebola:
“Mission to prepare and coordinate resources and other actions in response to the Ebola outbreak in West Africa. Authorization relating to medical evacuation. “
Sweden has previously allocated SEK 145 million in humanitarian aid and now National Board additional twelve million.

The National Board will also increase resources for evacuation of Ebola infected.
