Update at 16: Eon expect that power to work again on Sunday at 21.
6100 households in Svedala is without power since 06 am on Saturday morning. The blackout was caused by a malfunction in a substation.
– We will not be able to resume the distribution of electricity until Sunday. Emergency services are still there and has not given us the green light to go into the station, says Torbjörn Larsson, head of communications at Eon, to Sydsvenskan at 12 o’clock.
According to Eon lost power at 05:53 and came back at 6:45. But after only 20 minutes it disappeared again. Two arcs and heavy smoke was reported.
6 100 households in Svedala Holmeja, Sjödiken, Alstad, Vellinge Månstorp and VÅRBY are affected.
– We have now commandeered a mobile substation to run down the road from Norrköping. Before it can be connected, we need to clean up some on the switchgear, says Torbjörn Larsson.
Eon opened on Sunday afternoon, an information office in the town square in Svedala there anxious can turn to with questions.
Even trains affected by the power outage because they can not run at full speed on the trails at Svedala.
– Trains run, but with a delay. They are approximately 10-15 minutes late right now, says Thomas Pihl on the Administration’s press service.
When the signaling system does not work, the trains run at creep speed, hence the delay.
Holma manor nursing home has been power but it depends on a generator:
– I hope this is resolved quickly. So far we have not had any other visitors here but our restaurant is the open so would anyone older need to come here and eat, it is fine, says Mona Lisa Flame Weekender.
Her cell phone does not work right now , she says.
– There seems to be problems with the networks as well, because of this. (Worst affected are Telenor, according Svedala)
According to her, the whole central Svedala blackened.
– ICA has apparently closed, there should be a guard outside now, I’ve heard, she says.
