The video shows new riots – stone-throwing and car fires continues in Uppsala – News Today

UPPSALA riots continue in Uppsala exclusion areas on Saturday night. A video filmed by a reader shows how a large group of young people involved in the unrest, while cars are on fire. – You have thrown eggs at police and it should have been stoned, says Christer Nordstrom, spokesman for Uppsala police to the local newspaper UNT.

The violent unrest continues in Uppsala exclusion areas Gottsunda and Valsätra Saturday. Video images from the Band Chair Road in Valsätra, as a reader to News Today, filmed on Saturday night, shows how a large group of young people taking part in the riot while cars are on fire.

– There was no altercation tonight, but things were thrown against the police. Earlier in the day there were fights between youths with sticks, says an eyewitness to News Today.

Discontent against the police

Even during the Friday evening broke unrest out and then News Today could tell that it was preceded by a police intervention. It began with a man in the 20s stole a motorcycle, but crashed and was arrested by police. After the events started a group of youth unrest by dragging out the garbage cans in the streets and set fire to them. Even a school was set on fire.

Even eye witness News Today has spoken to connect the events of the previous police intervention.

– Yesterday it was someone who was taken by the police, if I understood it right. It made the young people cursed.

It is also difficult to know for sure if the riots solely due to police intervention, or if something else can be the cause. Eye witness could not hear what the young people chanted on Saturday evening.

– There was bad, it was mostly Arabic. Most people who live in Band Chair road is Arabic-speaking, explaining the witness.

Thrown eggs and stones

The local newspaper UNT reports that even a police helicopter circling the area at Gottsunda and Valsätra. The total number of car fires are no emergency services can provide for UNT, but the newspaper says that the total received seven-alarm fire.

When talking to police spokesman Christer Nordström he confirms that been greatly disturbed.

– You have thrown eggs at police and it should have been stoned but I do not know the context in which it occurred, says Christer Nordström UNT.
