The idea was that the game board in the hall would be 40×20 feet. But it was instead the hall’s dimensions. The plan is only 37×18 feet, and thus can not be used for competitive matches in neither handball, hockey or futsal.
The municipality claims appeared in the architectural competition that preceded the construction of the school. But in the final drawings had planned measure turned into dimensions, and none responded.
The mistake was discovered by the youth teams who trained in the hall.
– It is extremely difficult to say what it would cost moving walls and expand – and whether it’s even worth it, says the municipality’s technical director Karl Alexandersson told the newspaper.
