Maktkamp24 Nyheter24 asked the ten largest parties on cannabis. Here are the results.
The question that Nyheter24 put on parties’ representatives were:
“How do you imagine to establish a legal and controlled sale of cannabis in Sweden which would be designed much like today’s alcohol sales – by a monopoly and the authorized trade outlets? “
For some time the question of legalizing cannabis discussed extensively around the world.
In the United States, the drug has been legalized in several states, Barack Obama has previously said that the drug is no more dangerous than alcohol and newspaper giant The New York Times went the other week out and took a stand for legalization.
In a number of European states, the drug is legal. In Sweden does not discuss the issue in any great degree in politics. Nyheter24 have found out what the ten largest parties think.
No party wants to see the legalization of cannabis in Sweden. It was clear that all of the responses received.

Pirate Party, Henrik fire, the party secretary:
– Pirate Party want to use and possession of single doses of the drugs should be decriminalized, so that people with problems need not be afraid to seek treatment. However we do not believe that any currently controlled drugs should be legalized.
The Green Party, Anna-Klara Müntzing, Social Secretary:
– We are clearly negative for this .
The Christian Democrats, Johanna Jämstorp, Press Secretary:
– Christian Democrats do not want to introduce the sale of cannabis in Sweden. We are rather opposed to the use of cannabis. This term, our main focus has been to prevent cannabis use among young people by providing greater knowledge about the harmful effects. A restrictive drug policies, we currently have broad popular support and we hope to keep.
Centre Party, Susanne von Tiedemann, a political expert:
– The Centre Party is firmly opposed to the legalization of cannabis. A legalization would lead to more young people than today would use the drug. To combat the use of drugs is a very important issue for the Centre Party.
Moderates, Stefan Dubois, Administrator, Policy Department:
– We are opposed to the proposal . We stand behind the restrictive drug policy and our goal is a drug free society. Through legislation, advocacy, prevention and response from police and customs, we strive to limit access to narcotics. Preventive measures aimed at reducing demand by raising the awareness of the risks of drugs and reduce recruitment into substance abuse.
Liberal Party, Nina Larsson, Party Secretary:
– No . It’s us against. It shall be prohibited to use drugs.
Feminist Initiative, Marita Strand, Member:
– fi is against the legalization of cannabis. Fi will work for the government, within the framework of EU cooperation, vigorously discourage demands for liberalization and legalization of alcohol and drug policies.
Sweden Democrats, Per Ramhorn, Member Social Committee:
– Sweden Democrats clearly says no to introduce a legal sale of cannabis.
Left, Anders Thore political secretary:
– No, the Left rejects any proposal that would mean that illegal drugs are legalized. Allowing drugs that are now illegal only means that the market expands and more people at risk of becoming drug dependent. It would lead to more problems for individuals and increase costs to society. “
The Social Democrats, Camilla Frick, Political Officer:
– We are completely against the proposal. Cannabis should just now be prohibited.
