Social Affairs Göran Hägglund (KD) was attacked with a cake during a meeting square.
A man in his 20s was arrested on the spot.
According to KD’s second deputy party leader, David Lega, bar man a KD-jacket and had infiltrated the party to work with election work.
Shortly after the deed took an LGBT group on the attack in a statement.
The accident occurred 17:05 on Monday when Göran Hägglund was a square meeting at Kungsportsplatsen in Gothenburg.

The police apprehended a man in his 20s at the place that has been transferred to the police station.

Dennis Lindbom, 23, witnessed the incident and can confirm that the man wore a KD-jacket.
– He had a white valväst worn with the KD logo. He went up against Hagglund as if he would shoot him. Instead, he took out a cake and pressed it into the face of Hägglund. He shouted something about homophobes. A few seconds later SAPO arrested him, he says.
Göran Hägglund’s press manager Johan Ingerö would not comment on details but said:
– We comment here no such security.

Göran Hägglund later wrote on Twitter about the incident. “We should be thankful o proud of our openness and closeness between citizens and elected representatives. It should we be afraid of.”
A few minutes later he filled in with that he’s fine.
“Thank you for all the happy shouts and stances for openness and democracy., I’m fine.”
Sirpa Franzén, Head of the Security Service, confirmed the incident:
– I can confirm that the Government Hagglund has been a cake propped up in his face. It was followed by rapid intervention from our side. Police in Gothenburg was also quickly on the scene.

Sirpa Franzen would not comment on possible motives, the man said something to Hagglund before the attack, or other details.

Göran Hägglund is on a trip in West Bengal and century Kungsportsplatsen was scheduled between 16:45 to 17:45, according to police.
