Stockholm. National Unit polismål to examine shooting of a knife armed woman Marsta north of Stockholm. She was hit in the leg when police opened fire during an intervention on Monday evening.
The woman was treated Tuesday night at the hospital, but then had not been questioned.
According to the police fired shots in connection with the woman chased another woman with a knife on a street in Norrbacka area. The patrol that came there and called her attention and then, “she turned her aggression against” policemen, according to Mats Brännlund, duty police officers in Stockholm.
– One of the policemen felt as compelled to shoot for effect, he says.
