Wallström strengthens Löfven – Folkbladet

Wallström’s return to the hot domestic politics is above all a very good rating for Stefan Löfven. Wallström gives itself does not enter into anything. She has been here before and at levels that very few other active politician today can match. Even as a youth politician she showed samples of independence and self-will. She is not the one who is standing where a party apparatus thinks she should be.

With her background and experience of political peak assignments in Sweden and in the world so I do not think that the hopes of ministerial assignments in any S-led Government is no meaningful explanation for her overcall in politics.

She would probably simply trying to give S and Stefan Löfven a helping hand in a difficult election campaign where people with charisma are still extremely important. And she can probably do. Assist in other words.

Stefan Löfven hymlade not at the press conference yesterday afternoon where Margot Wallström presented as a “fastidiousness” of the Social Democrats. He hopes that she will create enthusiasm and “pull votes” among young people looking at colleges and universities. Margot Wallström will also – if I understood correctly – sent to, among other things, Oslo and Copenhagen to increase the voice of desire among S-sympathizers among all Swedes with voting rights who live in the Nordic capitals.

The last time Margot Wallström campaigned with a party leader in an election campaign in 1998 was “I’ve been dressing before so I know how it is,” said Wallstrom with a self-distanced laughter at the press conference yesterday. The arrangement then was that Margot Wallström and Persson toured together and held joint rallies. The idea was well to show the breadth of social democracy. It was not so good. What was displayed was rather a political couples in need of counseling and therapy.

Now the situation is different. Stefan Löfven has made domestic politics “fun” to me again, ‘said Wallstrom. Which I think is absolutely true. Margot Wallström, has not a single reason to venture into something that she does not appreciate and really want to do.

She is no fairy with a mystical wand to turn over social democracy. But the obvious fact is that the chances to make a good election campaign increased significantly yesterday.
