S wants to give bonus for a third month dad – Swedish Radio

The Social Democrats promise of his coming election manifesto to introduce a third paternity month of parental benefit during the next term. To encourage fathers to take more months to be the fathers and mothers who take out a quarterly gain compensation height that month by ten percent.

The Social has previously held that parental benefits in the long run will be divided equally between the parents of a three-way split as a step on the road, where his parents, one third were and then they get together to decide on a final third.

In the coming election manifesto is the promise that another daddy month, to be introduced compared to today, but when it will happen, is not said.

– One of the most important reasons why we have so unequal working with both the opportunities to work and income, is that women today are taking out approximately 75 percent of the parental insurance and men 25 percent. We must receive an equal outlet and this is a step in that direction, said Stefan Löfven.

Stefan Löfven want with the new proposal to reduce the economic argument for fathers to take parental leave not.

– It could be one of this third month, for both the mother and father, an additional payment so that you can get up to 90 percent reimbursement, said Social Democratic party leader Stefan Löfven.

But if we take a month, it would mean an increase in remuneration with perhaps 1500 or 2000 crowns before tax. Do you think it makes any difference and influence who will take one month and who will take the other?

– It’s not just the economic conditions that determine this, there are other factors. But it matters to them where the economy is right on the margin, said Stefan Löfven.

In Parliament, have you already said you want to have a three-parental. That means no more dad and mom month months. Why do not you go all the way there?

– We think this is the right step to go. Now we can get a parliamentary majority for this. Liberal Party’ve presented that they also want to fold a month and when we feel it is the right step to take.

The Liberals have also talked about a sort of bonus to encourage fathers outlet. Stefan Löfven says because the Social Democrats’ proposed financial bonus is only one of several possible solutions can be discussed. The cost of higher compensation when the third month levied estimated at less than a billion.
