SD close to a balance of power – Swedish Dagbladet

SD close to a balance of power – Swedish Dagbladet

While the Sweden Democrats are very close to a balance of power, according to the latest Sifo poll.

– It shows that it is very high stability in the numbers, says political scientist Ulf Bjereld.

In the measurement published in the Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet is both the Centre Party (5.5 percent) and Christian Democrats (4.3 percent) over the four percent threshold and would get seats in parliament, which would give a total of 138 seats for the Alliance.

For the opposition, the analogous figures from the previous week, the Social Democrats 30.9 percent, the Left Party 7.5, and the Green Party slopes slightly to 10.3. Fredrik Reinfeldt and the Moderate Party may at the same time 22.2 percent compared with 24.6 the previous week.

– This indicates that the last week’s turbulent discussion of refugee reception and government issue has not left any trace of opinion. There has been speculation that the Moderates would lose voters to the Sweden Democrats, but no such power selector is not visible, says political science and social democrat Ulf Bjereld.

The gap between the two blocks is 10.7 percentage points in the survey. Sweden Democrats is thus extremely close to getting a balance of power thanks to its 10.1 percent, double the figure for the election results of 2010.

– Everything suggests, of course they will be larger than the red-green alliance. It would take a minor miracle for something different to happen. However, it is very uncertain if SD gets a tipping the scale or not. The issue will interest directed around the elections, saying Bjereld.

TT: What does this mean for the rest of the campaign

– I think if the numbers are in the next few weeks will Stefan Löfven to appeal to voters to give him a strong mandate and not give SD a tipping the scale and try to attract over bourgeois voters who are close to the middle but certainly do not want the Sweden Democrats will get the role.

At the same time manages the Feminist Initiative not the four percent threshold but may be 2.3 percent. The measurement indicates no statistical hedge changes since last week.
