Liberal Party leader Jan Björklund held its sommartal in Eriksbergsvägen in Gothenburg on Sunday. Jan Björklund announced that the Liberal Party wants to give fathers more paid to be on parental leave. The gender equality bonus that exist today should if it becomes that the Liberal Party would be doubled.
In today’s maternity is two months earmarked for the father. The Liberal Party has been previously determined to work to further a parental month only to be taken out by the father.
This also means to the hundred a day like today paid that gender equality bonus for three months to clear. The bonus for the month four continue as today to be one hundred dollars a day. What is new in today’s proposal is that from the fifth month is doubled equality bonus that then becomes 200 dollars a day, in total there will be 6000 SEK month. And this says Liberal Party leader Jan Björklund on the new proposal. – The combination of an additional month of the 13 months in the parental insurance, to another month earmarked for the father and while then greatly increases the bonus , the duplicated course for those who share even more equal. The combination of these actions, we believe that to have a pretty big impact in a positive direction. This doubling means 3000 extra per month. Suffice it really?– Well then today one can always 3000 per month as they share equally. The doubling is the 6000 dollars and this is the tax free so it corresponds to the income before taxes of up to 10,000 dollars a month and it makes it a powerful bonus that will most likely impact.
Do you see any drawbacks to this system?– No. I see the great disadvantages with how it works today where it is so that a very large proportion of the parental insurance taken out only by women. This leads many companies to opt out of women when they shall select these young talented minds they should invest in for the future. It is a great loss of skills for Sweden to talented young women who could accomplish more at work and the labor market do not get it.
