An offender is still not apprehended for a robbery of a grocery store in Goteborg. Police have now found a knife thrown at his escape. The other robber was apprehended after police fired warning shots at a courtyard in the district.

An offender is still at large after robbery against a supermarket in Goteborg. It has not yet found the robber ran from the scene, according to police against Ostindiegatan – where a second knife now also found slung.

Police search continues with dogs and both uniformed and civilian personnel.

The robbery took place at half past ten o’clock this morning.

– The should be a knife equipped man with bandanna that stepped in at a grocery store and brought with them a cash drawer, said Thomas Fuxborg, police spokesman in Gothenburg.

When the man stepped out of the grocery store, located on Älvsborgsgatan in Gothenburg, people began to follow suit. A number of witnesses should then have tried to disarm the man, whereupon brawl occurred, including a courtyard nearby.

– It will be tumultuous and fractions. They then leave the robber the store and witnesses will follow. He threatens people around the knife but no one should have come to harm, says Christer Fuxborg.

– There has been talk of that man was drugged, says Fuxborg.

Police, together with a tourist to have caught up with the man and overpowered him. Both the area around the riot site and the shop premises have now been cordoned off.

According to several witness statements chased two people the arrested robber with a leksakshåv as they hit the knife armed robber with. Someone should also have thrown stones at the robber.
