One dog died last Thursday of algal poisoning after he drank seawater in Kalmar. It died just a few days after onset. Another dog has fallen ill after drinking seawater.
Now warns Göran Sjöström, Chief Veterinary Officer at Kalmar’s Animal Hospital, the algae that are all around.– It is not only further north as it is risky. The algae are down here too, even in lakes if you are unlucky. Even small amounts are dangerous, he says to the survey.
