Rain and thunderstorms dampen the heat – Västervikstidningen

SMHI has issued a class 1 warning for severe thunderstorms across much of Västra Götaland County, and Kronoberg, Jönköping and Halland.

Yesterday reached the Swedish heat wave peaked, and the 33.9 degrees measured in Hökmarksberget in Västerbotten looks to be season-high, and there will be continued high temperatures during the day but then turns it slowly.

-Until Monday and Tuesday, we see that relatively warm air covers large parts out of the country. But it will now have a period where the lighter form of rain and thunderstorms which can be severe and it allows the temperature does not rise quite as high daytime, says Lovisa Andersson, duty meteorologist at SMHI.

There is still a class 2 warning in East Svealand and up along the Norrland coast, where it could still get temperatures up to 30 degrees.

But then cooler air to enter inside the west.
