Murdered 30-year-old: A life filled with death threats – Expressen

The 30-year-old had lived a life of serious crime where years of violence led to a revenge spiral that has cost many people their lives.

In Malmö, he was a central figure in the war between the M and K factions in the 00s. An attempt to relaunch in northern Sweden came to naught when he was charged with attempted murder.

When he decided to return to Malmö and his old life. The man lived under death threats and a bar bulletproof vest.

On Saturday, he was shot to death with several shots at the mall Mobilia parking.

– He has lived under death threats for several years. We police have offered him help in the past year in the form of a contact with the police. But he has not wanted, says Petra Stenkula, deputy director at the county police in Malmö.

Malmo as 30-year-old returned to Last year was not the same city as he left several years earlier. But despite the bloody conflict between the M and K phalanges seen as finished making the murdered man’s story that the police are now targeting efforts against Malmö serious criminals to solve the murder.

– It is clear that this is a settlement in the underworld. There is no talk of other things. That is our starting point, says Petra Stenkula.

Between 2007 and 2011 plummeted a gang war in Malmö, it was conducted bombings and people were shot dead in the street. The battle was between the so-called M and K factions. In the midst of this there was the now murdered 30-year-old.

– Several people have been killed and some have even been executed. There have been thrown grenades against the window and grenades have been under cars, told the 30-year-old when he was in a trial in 2014 told about the conflict in Malmö.

central figure in the M-phalanx

30 -year-old described as a central figure in the K-wing. Several high-profile acts of violence over the years has been linked 30-year-old self, or to persons in the 30-year-old’s immediate vicinity.

The man’s younger brother was sentenced 2010-18 years in prison for murdering one of the two brothers who led the competing M phalanx. M-leader was shot with multiple shot in his car on Munkhättegatan.

Just months later came the revenge for the murder of Munkhättegatan.

The 22-year-old leader of the K-phalanx older brother is then in a parking lot in the town square in Malmo when he was shot dead. The murder occurs, January 31, 2010. No one has been convicted of murder.

Convicted of felony

The 30-year-old convicted of felonies confirmed by police. Petra Stenkula answers positively to the 30-year-old previously been linked to the so-called K-phalanx. But the conflict is the police have not seen much of in recent years, she says.

– K and M, the conflict we have not seen in years. But there may be many players left from the conflict who work in different networks.

– We have very good control of the individuals involved in organized crime. Some of these people are standing, and some we have not seen in recent times. But we will work with reconnaissance against all those we actually know that this person was in danger, says Petra Stenkula.

The list on which they can be is a group of about twenty to thirty people, according to a mapping Kvällsposten consulted in a different context.

Although sources of the Evening Post confirms that the fighting between M- and K-wing today almost be considered a closed chapter.

– The conflict is largely over. There is ongoing no such gang war between these two groups but individuals are left. The shootings and explosions that have occurred in recent years is instead almost exclusively on honor, that someone takes revenge after being offended or insulted and therefore must fight back by shooting or for example blow up a car, says a source with very good insight in Malmö’s underworld.

May be due to trivial things

But the shootings may have been due to the seemingly trivial things such as that some people banned by a group of selling dope, usually cocaine or amphetamine, in a certain neighborhood.

Sometimes pushed people into the bone just to have refused to pay extra interest on a loan of one of Malmö’s many usurers.

“We have seen a spiral of violence “

Petra Stenkula, who points out that the 30-year-old is a victim in this case, mean that there are a number of individuals who are capable of extreme violence outbreaks.

– We has seen a spiral of violence during the past five years, and I would say that we have good control over what individuals are doing this. But we have no dot marking of these individuals. Whether you are at risk or if it is a person who is out and shoot it is not so that we follow them wherever they go. They have no prohibition to reside in public places, says Petra Stenkula.

But the 30-year-old criminal network extended beyond the phalanx of the conflict in Malmö. Thus widening circle of potential enemies of man.

He was sentenced himself to four years and six months imprisonment in the Court of Appeal for a much-publicized bombings against the prosecutor Barbro Jönsson’s home in Trollhättan in 2007. The prosecutor had just driven a larger goals against the criminal network Wolfpack Brotherhood, a prison gang that 30-year-old switched on.

In questioning after the bombing in 2007 is 30-year-old ice cold. The few of questioning the leader’s questions he answers is the answer “No comment”. Asked if he is involved in some gang responsible 30-year-old “I do not know anything gangs”.

It need not have been a lie.

loosely structured gangs

The criminal groupings in Malmö consists mostly of very loosely assemble the bunch. Several small gang may in fact be linked by bonds of friendship since an early age or because they are on different occasions committed the robbery, fraud, extortion and other crimes together. Or simply gone to school together. Kinship and friendship loyalty is also an important factor that plays a major role in Malmo’s underworld.

Among these people are also often abuse of drugs such as cannabis and cocaine and painkillers.

Nor has any difficulty getting over weapons because the inflow to Malmö remains high despite several major weapons seized in recent years.

When 30-year-old was released about two years ago, he broke with his old life and settled in Umeå. With a price on his head, he lived with protected identity. What makes him the situation may be the protection of society, if he somehow cooperated with the police, is unknown. Clearly, he makes an attempt to start a new life.

– It was great to live a normal life, he says later when he was in a trial describes his new life.

In his new identity, no one knows his violent history in Malmö. He can now move freely out there.

– I have been practicing and last summer we went to the playground and were out and grilled. A true life I have never experienced before. I could never live like that in Malmö, he says in the same trial as he describes his living in Umeå.

But one day in late April, caught his old life caught up with him on a bridge in Umeå. According to police, he suffered when combined with an ex-boyfriend to his girlfriend. The fight ended with the 30-year-old stabs rival with a knife.

The 30-year-old was indicted on suspicion of attempted murder but was acquitted, stabbing was self-defense argued the district court. In the opinion of Probation notes that the 30-year-old occurring in 27 sections criminal record but now he broke with his criminal intercourse.

Killed five years after the assassination

But the 30-year-old identity was now cleared. For Sydsvenskan man told last summer that he decided to return to Malmö. In Malmö were friends and enemies from the past. But the 30-year-old returned despite the threats against him in the city.

On Saturday, shot 30-year-old self to death. The date was January 31, 2015, in the day, five years after his acquaintance in the K-phalanx top layer was murdered in the town square in the same city.
