LR require stricter rules on first teacher – Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet

– We can not have the patience anymore. The government must deal with the problems so that career reform does not erode, said LR’s Chairman Bo Jansson.

Education Gustav Fridolin (MP) assures that the issue is under discussion.

The new career service first teacher appears in part to live up to expectations, according to a poll just under 1000 LR-connected first teacher answered. Seven out of ten are satisfied with their new assignments and also feel that their status had a positive effect in relation to the headmaster.

But the evaluation also shows that most first teacher not been earmarked time for their new responsibilities, they have together mainstream education.

– There is a risk that people drop out if they do not have the time to perform its task. It must be toe the line, says Bo Jansson.

And still, most, seven out of ten, a temporary assignment and not a permanent position as first teacher. But now the end of the employers in doubt, consider Bo Jansson.

– Both the former and the current government has said that the first teachers to be left behind, so there is nothing to blame, he says.

Bo Jansson is also critical of the school principals who do not use state grant for the first teachers in full. That there is clear from LR Officers answers.

– We require all principals use the max. It is government money that parliament said yes to. Then the bet place everywhere, says Bo Jansson.

Similar criticisms have been raised by the Union of Teachers and Education Minister Gustav Fridolin does not rule out a tightening of regulations regarding the right to permanent position. First Teachers’ conditions are now on the table in talks with unions and employers.

– The system must be quality assured and it may mean a change in regulation, he said.
