Headmasters saw Ratings try – Helsingborgs Dagblad

Headmasters saw Ratings try – Helsingborgs Dagblad

The government and the Alliance compromise solution in the ratings issue means that grades in year 4 must be tested for up to 100 schools.

Already it is clear that it will not be up to date in some municipal schools in St-led Stockholm and Malmö. However, the bourgeois-controlled municipality of Nacka sympathetic, reports Swedish Radio.

But in the end, there must be an interest also in the individual school management.

– An overwhelming majority of headteachers would first see an evaluation of grades in year 6 before going in for the rate even in grade four. One can not work like this. It sends a signal of experimental workshop, says Matz Nilsson.

He also notes that a principal must have their teachers and parents of pupils with on a try.

– Rate can not be a question you should discuss with parents. There shall be governed by law, not in the negotiations.

With Teachers Union School leaders Reason Chairman Ann-Charlotte Gavelin Rydan the same way. She also thinks that the whole discussion about grades moves the focus from what is important.

– Putting rating labels seem more important than the content of teaching, she says.

The focus should instead be on Teacher Ratio and resources.

– The President has a mandate under the Education Act to appoint the necessary resources but have no budget for it.

Independent Schools Association has Confederate no opinion in the ratings issue – the members are all things from large corporations to small parent cooperative. But the chairman Mikaela Valtersson’m sure that a lot of schools will enroll in the trial. There will probably be relatively small schools with a committed föräldrakår and motivated students. There is thus a risk of a skewed sample.

– I can imagine. It is reasonable to have a try, but those involved in the study will be available in environments that are already sympathetic to grades, and presumably already have a high score mode, says Mikaela Valtersson.

TT: What will In that case, the experiment worth?

– It can probably be worth something. Although there is segregation in Sweden, and different groups of students at different schools, you can learn based on teachers’ experiences of assessing ten year olds.

Ann-Charlotte Gavelin Rydan also have input on how the experiment is carried out.

– It would be desirable that the voluntary schools jointly sit down and agree on a common line for these schools. In addition, there should be control schools to compare with it now being scientifically.
