L says no to new major regions – Sveriges Radio

the Idea is that the map is to be redrawn, and in the long term, today’s 21 counties is likely to be replaced by six regions.

” We will vote no to this. We see that there are major drawbacks with this – the extensive bureaucratisation, the far distance between citizens and elected representatives. While it doesn’t solve any problems, says the Liberal party leader Jan Björklund.

According to the proposal which has recently been out for consultation, three major regions are formed already in January 2019: Norrland, Svealand, and the Western Region.

Civilminister Ardalan Shekarabi (S) to create an organization that ensures an equivalent health care.

” We have just received replies from the stakeholders, not least the municipalities and the county councils, and we note that the majority of the answers are positive to a regionreform. Against this background, we will now invite the parties to talks on the further process, ” he says.

The sweden democrats are not invited, but Shekarabi hope for a “constructive dialogue” with the other parties.

to what extent are you prepared to change in the proposal that has been out on the referral?

“We want to have serious conversations about these issues about the structure that we have for the public sector in Sweden and, therefore, we must, of course, be open for conversation,” says civilministern.

Government’s plan on a new Sverigekarta is disputed. The moderates and The sweden democrats are opposed to the formation of the major regions – and now the judge, thus, also the Liberals out of the proposal.

“We have had a private consultation in our party, and of the twenties länsförbund that we have, so it has 75 per cent said ‘no’, says Jan Björklund. In particular, we have been told no in the parts where the storregionerna should be implemented now in the near future.

Argument to the is required in larger regions than in the day in order to achieve an equality of service throughout the country, dismissed by Jan Björklund..

– You add together a large number of counties which have about the same problem, each one for himself. The problem becomes larger, however, it is dissolved. There are other changes that will be needed.

What changes will be needed?

– When it comes to advanced care, highly specialized care, we think that the state should step in and control more, ” says Jan Björklund. Either the state takes over and becomes the principal or by state control of more cooperation.

do you Think the proposal goes through in the parliament?
