Employees to notify the security company for racism – Aftonbladet

Five employees, guards have notified Securitas to DO for racism.

Notifications describing a workplace where dark-skinned people are being harassed and systematically cleared away.

According to a notification to an employee who sounded the alarm bells have been subjected to retaliation.

One of the guards notified Securitas to the discrimination Ombudsman, DO, write my colleagues said derogatory things like "We have bonded in the room," and “We have a black labour”.

At a planning meeting in August, the colleagues have said "We don’t even need to ask XX he is not a Swedish citizen" and "He has not even pass."

the Guard writes that he measure very badly by the racist påhoppen. He also writes that the regional director refused to take him in hand during the meetings.

“I have tried to understand what it is I have done, why he is taking detours, looking the other way when he sees me, takes in hand and greets each other in the room besides me,” writes the guardian.

He connects the behavior to the fact that he was the only person with a foreign appearance at the meeting.

"Creates a poor working environment"

And the guard is not alone in his experience – a total of five guards in the southern region notified Securitas to DO for racist discrimination and unequal treatment.

Several of them describe that they have become discouraged by management and consigned to the less popular places to work, when they said no. One of them should have been laughed at by colleagues when he applied for a position as a team leader. They should also have said that you have to get rid of the aliens in the workplace.

Aftonbladet have contacted the guards who made the notifications but none of them want to give some comments for fear of antagonising their employers.

However, we speak with a former employee who has foreign ancestry. According to him, there is discrimination against employees on some of the Securitas objects in Malmö, sweden.

– They create such a bad environment that we who are immigrants feel bad and want to stop themselves, ” he says.

Task concerning instances of maladministration

DO has opened an enforcement case against Securitas after the first notification that comes to the guard who searched gruppledartjänsten. A lawyer of the DO to investigate if the company has been guilty of any form of discrimination.

– It is claimed in the current notification is information about serious abuses and that affect many employees. Therefore, we have initiated an enforcement case, ” says Caroline Mitt-Holm, a lawyer at DO.

DO has requested explanations from Securitas.

” We have asked what is the reason that the person is not received the service as a team leader. We have also, we have the issue of retaliation and the employer’s preventive work against discrimination, ” says Caroline Mitt-Holm, lawyer, ombudsman.

"there Is no acceptance"

In a response to the DO denying Securitas ‘ discrimination, it shall, according to the company, instead, be about a conflict between different persons as well as the shortcomings of a previous head of department. The head of the department should not have followed up on the meetings and talks held by reason of the discrimination. And it was one of the reasons why he had to stop his service.

Securitas ceo Joachim Källsholm says to Aftonbladet that the company has launched its own investigation after the DO-notification.

” We have started an investigation in parallel with that DO make their inspections. In our company, there is no room for any kind of discrimination, therefore is extremely good to DO review it here.

Is it so that people who are employed at you may have been discriminated against because of skin colour?

– All form, where people have experienced discrimination, will be investigated. There is no acceptance of it, neither from the people in supervisory positions or on the floor between colleagues. It is about respect. At that point I supertydlig. I have no understanding of it, ” says ceo Joachim Källsholm.
