German ambulance chased in Småland – Aftonbladet

This may be the strangest story in a very, very long time.

Aftonbladet presents: the mystery of the German ambulance in Småland.

On Friday night, police in Jönköping in a variety of calls from people who have observed a German-registered ambulance on the Småland roads.

– It should have been running with both blue lights and siren. Last observation is between Nässjö and Jönköping at 22:54. Then the running fairly quickly, said Bo Gunnarsson, county spokesman at Jönköping police, told Aftonbladet at midnight.

The ambulance had also been observed in the area around Vetlanda.

According to police, touched it up, most likely, not on an emergency vehicle in service.

– There’s one or two who make about their cars, it’s tried. As long as one does not purport to be official, it is approved. But one must not call free path, says Bo Gunnarsson.

“Began to overtake cars’

Hardcore Anton and Martin was on his way up to Statoil in Nässjö to buy candy when they caught sight of the German ambulance.

– It was an older Mercedes bus with flashing blue lights that ran in to Statoil. The driver was a young guy between 18 and 25 years. He did not speak Swedish, and his card did not work, says Anton.

– When he walked out, got into the ambulance and drove off with police lights on.

The friends decided to follow suit.

– He began to overtake cars. They moved on himself, police lights was on. At Jonkoping he noticed that we were behind. Then drove the car to the side and let us through, says Anton.

According to him, turned the ambulance outside of the city – and disappeared.

police continued to search for the mysterious vehicle. At 01 o’clock you had to push, stopped the ambulance and spoke to the driver.

And the explanation … well, it sorts out a deal, but some questions remain.

– The driver, a man in the age of 25, gave an explanation in German. My colleagues do not speak the language like that great – but what we have managed to bring out is that these are some kind of transportation directed by some sort of German organization, says Bo Gunnarsson.

The driver explained that he, along with a fellow passenger, was in Småland to pick up an older, German, citizens outside Eksjoe.

– But on the way there will be a passenger medical emergency. The driver then run with blue lights and sirens to Eksjoe Lassa sorted, leaving the passenger there, says Bo Gunnarsson.

– When we manage to stop him telling the driver that he is heading back to Germany to pick up another car, for some reason. In the case of a larger car to get with the two German citizens back is not clear, said Gunnarsson.

The driver received a sharp reprimand and patrol explained the speed regulations in Sweden.

– I have worked for many years and encountered many strange cases. This is definitely one of them. But we experience him as credible. He is identified and there is no indication that it is not that he has told, says Bo Gunnarsson.

Hospital Eksjoe would neither confirm nor deny that the man on Friday received a German citizen as a patient.

The ambulance should have been sighted heading south during the night of Saturday.
