Unexpectedly, get paperless sought treatment – Västerbotten Courier

The county councils’ costs for the care of undocumented migrants have so far been much lower than expected, according to the State Treasury in a report.

Since July 1, 2013, undocumented right to the same care as asylum seekers and county councils were given during the last year of SEK 300 million in government grants to cover the increased costs that the law was expected to involve.

But the real cost of around 19,000 visits were 104 million last year, 35 percent of the expected cost. But the State Treasury still recommend not being reduced, as most counties report that the trend is that more people seek care when the law becomes better known.

The State Treasury also recommend the National Board of Health to develop a common reserve civic systems so that patients can more easily be followed in the care and guidance is produced when EU citizens subject to the law regarding undocumented right to healthcare.
