No crime behind 20-year-old’s death – Aftonbladet

A 20-year-old from Vetlanda had been missing for a week when he was found dead at a sewage treatment plant.

The police could not rule out that someone killed him.

now stating that the matter is closed – no offense is behind the death.

The young man was found dead in a river at the municipal wastewater treatment plant on Sunday and Police said then that the circumstances on the ground meant that it could not rule violations. A preliminary investigation of murder, alternatively manslaughter was thus initiated.

– Circumstances under which he anträffades after a week has meant that we have initiated the preliminary investigation. We have cordoned off the area and technicians are on the way. Circumstances around doing that we can not rule out the crime, said Lasse Johansson, press officer at Jönköping police to Aftonbladet then.

On Wednesday morning, police said that the preliminary investigation closed.

After including technical studies implemented, the police have been able to conclude that no crime is behind the 20-year-old’s death.
