Shot man in Eskilstuna seriously injured – Swedish Radio

It is still unclear what was behind the shooting in the residential Årby in Eskilstuna at 17 o’clock yesterday afternoon when a 25 year old man was shot several shots.

Police received shortly after kl.17 alarm that a man had been shot in the residential area. The man was taken to Mälarsjukhuset in Eskilstuna.

According to doctors at the emergency room at Mälarsjukhuset in Eskilstuna shot the man with several shots and he’s serious, but not life-threatening, damaged. He was on a Sunday morning sedated after surgery.

Police have carried out a technical examination at the crime scene and the first interrogation of witnesses has been made, said police duty officer.

The police in Eskilstuna will continue to hold hearings on Sunday with people regarded as being of interest in the investigation. The event termed attempted murder or alternatively manslaughter.

No suspected offender has been arrested, according to the county kriminalavdelningen in a press release.

The police do not want to disclose more details of investigative reasons. Information in the media can influence the witnesses to be heard and to influence the offender’s conduct, according to police.

There are many questions about the shooting. It is still unclear how it happened and why.
