Four-legged teammate landed in Sweden – Swedish Dagbladet

Four-legged teammate landed in Sweden – Swedish Dagbladet

– We went there for the medals, but it ended up that we got us a dog, says Mikael Lind North.

Street Dogs Arthur became famous when he went with the Swedish national team of adventure racing in the World Championships in Ecuador. After being invited to the meatballs he did not leave the team’s side and became such a dear friend that the Swedes decided to take him home. On Thursday arrived Arthur, 26 kg heavy and approximately seven years old, to Arlanda where he was welcomed by the family and the press.

– Fantastic. Above all, to bring a new family member, says team member Michael Lind Nord said.

– He symbolizes multisport. If one team member does not matter if you add any moment. You go with.

But it was sitting hard inside. On Tuesday declined the SBA application to bring Arthur, because he lacked identification mark and not vaccinated against rabies. A visit to the vet later gave the Agriculture Department with him.

– The last condition, we got 20 minutes before we were to go. We even got help from the Ecuadorian Social Security who went in and headed up.

Arthur may have to wait until March 20 before he was allowed to roam free. First, he will sit 120 days in quarantine.
