Many young people have been hospitalized after having smoked spice in Gothenburg.
– Several were so sick that they are low and crawled on the sidewalk, said police inspector Peter Nydahl.
The young people have not yet been heard by the police.
During the afternoon and evening, five people have been taken by the police on suspicion of having smoked spice in North Town in Gothenburg. Three nurtured now in hospital with unexplained injuries.
– They commuted between unconsciousness and contactability. I do not know exactly how it is with them now, says Peter Nydahl.
The young people are all born in the early 90s and was observed by passersby in and around North Town.
– Several were so sick that they are low and crawled on the pavement. One can get cramps so you can not breathe in this, says Peter Nydahl.
“Never seen anything like”
One of the young people reported that they smoked spice. Police have not yet been able to interrogate all because they are in such a bad condition. A young girl is still not identified.
– She may be between 15 and 20 years old, says Peter Nydahl.
Police takes a very serious incident.
– I’ve never seen anything like it. That so many are taken simultaneously. This is alarming.
It is still unclear where the youth got hold of the drug, but police suspect it is the same provider.
– We have not been able to talk to them but because it was same age on them, one can suspect it.
