Shot by police – life threatening damaged – Västerbotten Courier

A man in his 50s is in hospital for life-threatening injuries after he was shot by police in Luleå. He himself is suspected of attempted murder in at least one case.

Police received an alarm when the man, with two hunting rifles in their hands, sought out a woman he had a relationship with. Inside a coffee shop where she worked. There, he fired shots at her, but she could physically unharmed flee to another house.

The man then fired several shots at the woman’s car, and he was stopped by police as he left the place. Then he pulled weapons and police fired for effect. He was hit by a bullet in the chest and quickly got cardiopulmonary resuscitation of the patrol.

– They have acted completely according to the rule based on the threat, says detective Patrik Ström.

The police wanted the night not comment on media reports that the man also shot at police patrol. The officer of police officers in Norrbotten refers to the investigation secrecy
