The Liberal Party leaves the defense negotiations between the government and the Alliance.

Negotiations on defense orientation 2016-2020 would have been ready by Thursday – but negotiators have failed to reach agreement.
According to SVT negotiations were included in the final stage when the Liberal Party now decided to leave. The bourgeois parties must have agreed that demand more money this year, to demand more money for defense than the government’s proposed 6.2 billion for the next five years, and to investigate the pros and cons of NATO membership.
What should have been the Liberal Party to leave the negotiations was how much money the defense will have over the next few years. SVT states that the Moderates proposed 10 billion, while the Liberal Party wanted to see an allocation of 17 billion.
According to information to SVT, the Swedish Armed Forces anticipated the need for SEK 17.5 billion during the next five year period defense.
