Bomb threat in central Stockholm – Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet

Police has lifted the cordon on Hantverkargatan on Kungsholmen in Stockholm. Traffic rolls on as usual, says Kia Sanrell, spokesman of the Stockholm police.

The man, who was alone, had an object in his hand as he came into the county administrative offices at Hantverkargatan in Stockholm Sanrell can not yet say what it was the object or why the man entered the county administrative premises. He had also left a backpack in the entrance.

– It is searched by bomb technicians, and there found nothing, says Kia Sanrell.

It was at 11:36 as alarm came in to the police that a man with some sort of “dangerous” object in his hand was in the CAB’s premises on Hantverkargatan in Stockholm. Several police patrols were sent to the scene. It could be a bomb.

– We took the measures we needed, we blocked off the Parmmästargatan and Pipersgatan and evacuees in the state, says Kia Sanrell, police länskommunikationscentral to SvD.

Express has a picture on a masked man standing in one of the property’s window. A witness says to Expressen that the man stood and shouted in an open window.

– He shouted and gesticulated, said the witness Expressen.

A man was arrested an hour later, at 12:37.

– He is suspected of devastation endangering the public and aggravated assault.

According to the police so people are now looking to the rest of the building.

– We know nothing more at present, says Kia Sanrell.

Is the danger is over?

– We look at the property to make sure that nothing is left before we highlight the barriers.

The man is suspected of devastation endangering the public, what it is based on?

– It is based on the suspected could be no such thing as a bomb. It is very difficult to comment on now, it may take a day before we know with certainty, says Kia Sanrell.

According to information must buses have been led on around the restricted area.
