Safer gnomes, and sets in the year – Västerbottens-kuriren (the Courier)

Ljusslingor, brilliant gnomes and adventsljusstakar fills many people’s homes right now. And we are pleased to see these electrical products to become ever safer.

the national electrical safety board has checked the 24 different products from great brands and of those, 45% have flaws, writes the agency in a press release. Last year, the corresponding figure was 76 per cent.

the Errors you found is for example if products are not correctly marked or the instruction manuals have all the information. Deficiencies in the structures is usually errors in the transformer that connects the device to the mains.

"a few years ago, almost half of the christmas products that we let the test ban. This year we hope to not have to put any ban at all", says Thomas Nilsson at Elsäkerhetsverkets produktavdelning in the press release.
