Confidence in police plummets – Laholms newspaper

Sweden Less than half of swedes say they have great or very disturbed confidence in the police, according to a Sifo-survey to SVT News.

In march indicated a 61 per cent have great or very great confidence in the police. In november, that number plummeted to 47 percent.
– We have had discussions in the rural areas, where it is said that there is no police. We have shootings in Malmö and Gothenburg. It has been an intense debate about what the police can deliver, if it can get and what crimes it will prosecute, ” says Toivo Sjörén, opinionschef at Sifo for SVT News.
– It is a serious signal if this confidence continues to go down. Now the trust is not seriously low. There are many authorities and organisations is significantly lower, among them the social Insurance agency and the Swedish migration board

Really bad it looks for named Dan Eliasson. Only one per cent of respondents – 1 054 persons over 18 years of age – reported that they had very great confidence in how he handles his mission. Nine percent said it had quite a lot of confidence in him.
– The most critical is sverigedemokrater, followed by greens, and vänsterpartister. Their criticism applies to both Dan Eliasson and the police in general, ” says Toivo Sjörén
